God created you, and He saw it was good

Lately, I have been going through a battle with myself. I have been fighting with my own insecurities, my own fears and with the fact that I tend to underestimate myself. I have been struggling to find my value and my place in this world.

I think we, as humans go through the same struggles sometimes in our life. Even though the people around us see the best version of us and have a reason to compliment who we are, we fail to see ourselves the same way. Maybe because we tend to compare our life to others’ instead of understanding that life if not a competition. Instead, each person has their own journey. Maybe because we doubt ourselves, our talents, our skills, and our value.

But the truth is that we all are valuable; we all have something to contribute to this world. Even if you don’t realize it, you are the reason someone smiles; you are the reason someone feels motivated or encouraged; or, the reason someone feels loved.

A few years ago I wrote something like this: If you think low of yourself or you underestimate yourself you are insulting God, because God created you, and He saw it was good. We are imperfectly perfect. It’s easier to write it than to put it into practice; but your worst enemy is the one you see in front of the mirror. It’s time to know YOUR worth. You were created with a purpose!

And as one of the best movies ever quoted says:

“YOU IS KIND, YOU IS SMART, YOU IS IMPORTANT”
